Hook 'em horns!
So, for the five people who actually know the man behind the blog, I have been accepted into the University of Texas' School of Information Studies' Conservation Program! So big news. As the quicker ones among you have realized by now, that means that I will be living in Austin. Yes Texas. For the next two-three years. Start making your plans to visit. In the meanwhile, I will be road-trippin' all summer, so if you have suggestions for places to visit/people's houses to stay at, be sure to hit up the comments box.

Well done, Fletch. As a former Texan, I have nothing but mediocre/decent things to say about the state...and great things to say about Austin.
I will be in Houston in August...that's not far from Austin, but it will be my sister's wedding, so you can't come. Not that I would ever recommend Houston anyway. Not quite Austin. Or even El Paso, for that matter.

Wow, so your sister's actually going to go through with it and tie the knot this time? I guess the third time's a charm. (How many times has she been engaged?) This is the closest she's ever gotten right? Or is there still a chance? Sorry. I have nothing better to do than follow these sorts of dramas. But marrying a French guy is a-okay with me!

This is funny. Fletcher's blog comment section has become a forum to discuss my sister's wedding. Jules, perhaps we should move this convo to email--I'll take care of that. But in a nutshell, yes, she is marrying this one--even has an order of lavender bundle favors to prove it!
But Fletcher, I won't be there until late August. Moreoever, I am the only bridesmaid because I am the only woman she loves so much...

With one final thought, I want to remind everyone here that Frenchmen are filled with crabs. And not the succulent kind that we all love to get at Bertha's. A-hole, do they even know what crabs are in Texas?
